ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY STATEMENT

The DC Group recognises that day-to-day operations can impact both directly and indirectly on the environment. We aim to protect and improve the environment through good management and by adopting best practice wherever possible. The company will work to integrate environmental consideration into our business decisions and adopt greener alternatives based on Best Available Technology Not Entailing Excessive Costs, wherever possible, throughout our operations.

This policy is applicable to all The DC Group divisions and employees and where practicable will be required of material suppliers and sub-contractors utilised by The DC Group operations. Each of our employees are responsible for ensuring that resulting processes are adhered to.

The Board of Directors will seek to ensure that the organisational structure, associated roles and responsibilities support the environmental objectives and policies of the business and will endeavour to respond immediately to any environmental incident or threat by utilising the appropriate personnel, strategies, methods and equipment and providing adequate resources.

Our management team regularly review all the relevant information collected, to drive improvement forward.

In all our activities we aspire to:

  • Comply fully with all relevant legal requirements, codes of practice and regulations.
  • Prevent pollution to land, air and water.
  • Reduce water and energy use.
  • Minimise waste and increase recycling within the framework of our waste management procedures.
  • Identify and manage environmental risks and hazards.
  • Involve customers, partners, clients, suppliers and subcontractors in the implementation of our objectives.
  • Promote environmentally responsible purchasing.
  • Provide suitable training to enable employees to deal with their specific areas of environmental control.
  • Improve the environmental efficiency of our transport and travel.
  • Establish targets to measure the continuous improvements in our environmental performance.

This Policy will be available at all resident manned sites, and to the general public via the company website. All relevant persons working for, or on behalf of us, will be made aware of this policy through a program of training. This Policy will be reviewed by the management team on an annual basis or sooner if appropriate.
